Time zones can vary from thousands of miles wide ................A time zone is a region on Earth that uses a uniform time.

Either side of the UK time changes. If you take the width across this zone as a one hour zone. In theory it is possible to divide a time zone into miuntes. This project I travelled from the East to the west of Ireland, the distance was carefully divided into 4, 15 mins sections.........

Travelling east or west, the time either side of a time zone is + or - one hour. If you are situated on a time zone border, by taking a step in either direction over the line you are in effect going forwards or backwards in time, while inside the time zone the time remains constant. Time zones can be many hundreds of a mile across, yet wherever you travel within them the time remains constant.

For this project I have chosen a time zone which runs across the UK and The Republic of Ireland (see ref attached). The zone runs from the coast of Suffolk in the east to the coast of County Kerry in the west of Ireland, and spans a distance of 512 miles. I have divided the time zone into 4 equal distances along latitude N 52 6.553, in effect 15 minute sections. I will place a trig marker (see ref attached) at each of these precise GPS locations along this line of latitude and photographed and documented it in situ. This project will re-calibrate the time zone.
