The Clearing installation comprises four images of a forest clearing. Each image is taken at a 90° angle from the adjoining image, and each is equidistant from the centre. This creates a 360° audience experience. Installed in the historic St Werburgh's Chapel, it explores our connection with our surroundings and the themes that link our lives with the natural world, encouraging us to re-engage with it. The photographic detail and scale of the prints encourage viewers to become immersed in the images as they move around the darkened room.
